The 13th Annual Fire Service Legislation Day/ Reception is being held Wednesday, March 24, 2010, in Springfield Illinois.

Our collective goal is to share a common theme amongst the fire service organizations and to promote fair legislation on our behalf. Use this event to help us promote issues that impact both you and the fire service. Please extend this invitation to fellow district and municipality officials. The success of this day depends on your involvement and attendance.
The day will begin with a legislative training session and program followed by lunch at The Historical Inn at 835, 835 S. Second Street, Springfield (3 blocks south of the Capitol).
Contact your legislators to schedule an appointment to discuss our concerns during the afternoon of March 24th and also invite your legislator to the evening Legislative Reception being held at The Statehouse Inn, 101 E. Adams Street, Springfield (1 block northwest of Capitol Complex).

A block of hotel rooms for March 24th are being held until March 2, 2010 at The Statehouse Inn. Please make your reservation early. The block sells out very quickly. When making your hotel reservations, please mention GROUP NAME: Illinois Association of Fire Protection Districts.

We encourage you to attend the entire program, but you can register for part of the day. There is a fee for attending the luncheon and reception, however the fee does not cover the cost of the entire program. The remainder of the cost is being sponsored by the IAFPD, IFCA & NIAFPD.
