August 21, 2022 the NIAFPD volunteered in the Fire Safety Tent at the Illinois State Fair.  Each year, many volunteers from multiple organizations come together to manage the Fire Safety Tent and provide fire prevention education to fair-goers. The tent allows kids and adults to climb on fire engines and slide down firepoles while also receiving educational material on fire safety through various stations and activities.
